Drawing

Freehand ink drawing is a daily exercise of the artist - often done for half an hour before painting as ink is the easiest of mediums to work with and is a good way of ‘ freeing up’ before the more complex task of working and layering oil paint.

Reforesting the Soul Series

During lockdown the artist, set up a conversation between the word and the image in her imagination. She spent time every day doing small ink drawings in response to her favourite poems. All these little ink drawings will be turned into larger paintings once back in the studio - ( see work in progress ).
