In these works, Catherine turns inward, exploring the space between the landscape we see and the landscapes we carry within us. Poetry becomes a constant companion - a way of thinking, feeling, and imagining, while oil and ink become languages through which these inner impressions can emerge. Light, memory, emotion, and imagination move between the visible and the intangible, creating a dialogue between the outer world and an internal reality. Rather than simply representing a place, Catherine explores how a landscape can become a state of mind: remembered, imagined, felt and transformed through the act of making.
